2019 Bipartisan Health Policy Retreat for Congressional and Related Agency Staff

January 25, 2019

Engage in conversations featuring panelists of policy experts from across the nation and familiarize yourself with potential health policy issues in the 2019 legislative cycle.

With the introduction of the 116th Congress, we are grateful that you could join us for an opportunity to explore the foundations and fundamentals of the U.S. health care system as well as delve deeper into the major legislation and regulations informing today’s health and health care issues.

In addition, this day-long event provided staff with an understanding of policy considerations for the three largest sources of health care coverage in the United States—Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance. Each session outlined coverage trends, benefit designs, and payment mechanisms for each insurance program.  Expert panelists discussed challenges facing these institutions, opportunities to improve coverage and care for beneficiaries, and key policy issues likely to be addressed in the 2019 legislative session.

This event is off-the-record and strictly for congressional, executive branch and agency employees.
Others will not be allowed to attend.
