2026 BLC Congressional Fellowship

Equipping current congressional staff for health policy leadership with nonpartisan, Hill-relevant education and professional development.

On March 17, 2026, the Alliance announced the 2026 cohort of the Bipartisan Learning Communities (BLC) Congressional Fellowship. View the announcement here.

This second cohort of 30 fellows represents a diverse cross-section of emerging health policy leaders from across both parties and chambers.

Over the next few months, fellows will engage in monthly sessions that combine foundational health policy content with Hill-relevant skills and relationship-building. Based on adult-learning best practices and recommendations from a working group of policy and education experts, the Alliance will work closely with fellows to tailor educational sessions to their needs and interests.

2026 Curriculum
  • The federal budget process, working effectively with committee staff, understanding CBO and the scoring process
  • Lessons from key moments in health policy history with experts who shaped them
  • Dinners with health policy leaders to discuss timely topics and career insights
  • Hands-on workshops using strategy tools like systems thinking to tackle complex challenges
  • Professional development training in communication and leadership presence
