Health Policy Ahead: Conversation with Congressional Staff

Top congressional health care staff members will meet with reporters Wednesday, August 28 to discuss upcoming pressing health care policy topics.

Senior Republican and Democratic health care staff members from both the House and Senate will brief reporters about the state of play on Capitol Hill as it relates to implementation of the health law. Open enrollment begins October 1, and most Americans will be required to have insurance by January 1. Also, Congress must act by the end of the year on a “Doc Fix” to avoid statutory cuts to physician payments in Medicare. The aides will answer your questions about a variety of health care policy topics on the forefront.
